Our story

It all begins with an idea. A couple of years ago, when I saw my daughter getting ready for a clarinet performance at church, I noticed that she was waiting around for a long time and trying to keep her reed hydrated for the upcoming performance (which ended up being almost a half hour wait). She was doing the usual thing I’ve seen musicians do, which was to continuously hold the reed in her mouth which didn’t look comfortable to me. I decided that maybe there was a better way. A way to keep the reed hydrated without having something hanging out of your mouth for a long period of time. Something that would enable you to relax, take a drink, have a snack, or have a conversation while you waited for the performance time to arrive. Then… when the performance time finally arrived, the reed would also be hydrated and ready to go. Thus the Reed Soaker was created!
